The Innocent day was as memorable as ever. In the evening we were treated at the Asylum by the performance of the Pastores or Shepherds. We enjoyed it very much, though most of our Sisters could but see the motions, as the whole of it was spoken in Spanish.

On Christmas day [in San Antonio] our dear Sister St. Andrew made her profession, and Miss Ellen took the habit. I like to think of it as a Folklife Festival but with a history lesson.
This year the Archives joined for the first time ever!

We shared a table with Mat Martin from the Oblate's Archives and it was terrific. The congregation deeded these 53 acres to the Headwaters Coalition to be preserved as a public nature sanctuary, called the Headwaters Sanctuary. The archives has received cultural artifacts found in the sanctuary from numerous archaeological collections and as we catalogue it we will paint a picture of the history of these lands.
